Google Gadget Gateway to PubMed (g3p)
The Google Gadget Gateway to PubMed is a convenient tool for keeping up-to-date with PubMed. Using the PubMed website for simple tasks can be a pain, so the g3p makes it easy to do the things you do most often. The g3p is a Google Gadget, which means it can be embedded into your iGoogle homepage, so that you don't have to go out of your way to check for new articles. Below is a fully functional sample of the g3p, with some example preferences:

Things you can do with the g3p:
  • Search PubMed
  • Save favorite searches and bookmark individual results
  • Export results to text formats (like EndNote)
  • Share your preferences and embed the gadget in other pages (like above)
  • Link directly to corresponding PubMed webpages
Click here to add the g3p to your iGoogle homepage.

g3p is open source

This means that you can help shape the future development of the project by making suggestions, reporting issues, and even implementing your own feature requests. If you would like to become more involved in the project, please visit the g3p's Google Project Hosting page. If you are interested in learning a little more about the gadget itself, please view the online slideshow from a talk given at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University in July, 2007.

If you would like to provide us with some feedback, please take this survey compiled by Pamela Shaw from the Galter Health Sciences Library at Northwestern University.
